- explanation why fossil is called fossil (from Quotes: "The very name 'fossil' was to chosen to reflect the unchanging nature of things ..."*.)
- section on markup: fossil wiki markup, markdown, plain text (here also mention commands such as
fossil test-markdown
)
- section on pikchr
- section on skins and the UI CSS
- include explanations from interesting/important forum posts or from post with often asked questions
- comparison with git
- section on the philosophy of fossil and the fundamental design principles
- section on what kind of animals artifacts are
- section on libfossil
- section on the cvs2fossil script and to importing from other systems
- note when a certain feature was added? (such as "the --numstat option to the fossil diff command was added in fossil 2.3")
