Search in wiki attachments

Hello,

Wiki attachments in Fossil contain description. Is it possible to add search functionality to them? Currently, I have all checkboxes checked (in Admin -> Search) and it seems to not work for attachments.

Best, Przemek

Not currently, no. Someone would need to extend the text indexing feature to be aware of attachments (a rarely-used feature) and extend the search result view to be able to link back to them.

Ah, ok. Is there a better way then to keep documentation? I need to add bunch of text with attachments, I thought wiki would be the best way to do this.

Another question: when I enable Admin -> Search on my repository, is it possible to sync this with other remotes?

The approach we generally recommend is:

i don't recall off-hand whether the search config can be sent/received via the "config" command and am on a phone so can't easily check that. Search indexes are definitely not synchable, nor is it needed - the index is kept current automatically as new content is synched in.
